Ricardo Arjona La Fuente attends funeral of his father in Guatemala

The Guatemalan singer Ricardo Arjona Guatemala arrived on Tuesday for the funeral of his father, Ricardo Arjona Moscoso, 78, who died the previous night by a terminal illness.

"Ricardo ... as we are pained and shocked. But we are calm because (our father) gave him the best as children," he told reporters Ingrid Arjona, one of only two sisters of the artist, who spoke with journalists on behalf of the family.

the musician's father died late Monday at his residence in the east of the capital Guatemala. The funeral will be Tuesday afternoon at a cemetery on the outskirts of the city.

Arjona has said repeatedly that his father, a retired school teacher, was his main support for a music and without it there would be a musician.
