What we see in the picture above is an example of road signs in German. It is very strange because there are very few cases in the world which use the yellow background with black text. Specifically reminded the signs that apply in Spain for road work and so the post holder is a joke. Also called attention to the typeface. Eye because things are not always so clear, especially in diversions. A plus is that there is not only a destination but a number. An interesting little detail is that the output of each village is indicated below with the relevant distance.
Personally I prefer the French signs, with you never miss and when everything is absolutely clear. The yellow background is not exactly the very best when you travel at night and forced to cut the panels to look better.
Another issue worth mentioning is that the German national travel often quite far from the highways. Keep in mind that in Spain the highways never go too far from the old national.
Something I have not seen on conventional roads of Germany is the shoulder. Usually though the road is very wide two-lane left enormous damage if not disturb much. Nor have I seen gutters, so I imagine they will use culverts and Switzerland.
